Day One: The Purpose of your life
"The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness."
It really is.
Look around you.
What you see is the vast world waiting to happen, with or without your presence. You will find out some days, sooner or later, that a life of yours won't affect how the Earth revolves around the Sun. So why bother live?
I'm willing to bet money on the fact that all of us have pondered the question of "Why am I here? Why am I alive? What am I going to do with my life?" The thing is, in asking the question of the purpose of your life, you miss the real purpose of your life. Pay close attention to the question you're asking. I'm willing to bet that 90% of them are about you.
And it's fine. Self reflection, self- actualization and self awareness are important things in life. They would certainly factor in your success as an adult. But sometimes, we are so self awared that we become self-centered. It's tricky. There's no way to escape that mentality.
But you have to realize that your life's purpose probably has nothing to do with you. No matter how much you look into yourself, you won't find the meaning of your life. Honestly, no one can serve the purpose of their lives by looking into themselves.
Let's look at biology, specifically in evolution. It is every species' ultimate instinct to survive and pass on their genes. That's why they have some funky attributes or fantastic ability to hunt, or escape being hunted. Now, look at human. We don't have such things. We survive by using our collective brains to outsmart other animals. To use the collective brains, there have to be a lot brains. For there to be a lot of brains, people have to protect each other. Now, apparently we don't always face life or death situation, but our instinct is always to look out for each others. And we should. Everyone is facing a battle you don't know, and our goal is to help as many people win as many battles as possible.
So gear up.
Get ready for your battle.
Have a great night,
Denny
